1/200 SPACE SHUTTLE

Developed by NASA as a reusable transport between Earth and space, the space shuttle performs many vital functions. With its large payload bay, the Shuttle inserts satellites into Earth's orbit. Using its remote control CanadArm, the Shuttle can rendezvous with orbiting craft for repairs, as seen in 1993's Hubble Space Telescope rescue mission. Working as a ferry, the Space Shuttle will be used to carry materials and crews into orbit to begin construction on the Space Station. The Shuttle rides on a 154 foot tall external fuel tank with twin solid rocket boosters and can carry a crew of seven.
